There are a total of 12 musical events planned, with names such as Lou Reed, Diana Krall, Simply Red, Vanessa da Mata, Mariza and Caetano Veloso appearing.

It might be one of the last opportunities to see Simply Red live, this year's tour being their last one after an outstanding 25 year career.

In the sports section, the F1 Boat Grand Prix, the Portugal Superbikes Grand Prix and the Portugal Rally are the main events to be held, as well as several internacional golf tournaments, Sailing National Trophy and the World Kitesurf Circuit among others.

Also in the limelight is the Sardine Festival in Portimão, the Seafood Festival in Olhão, the Medieval Fair in Silves, the Sasha Summer Sessions in Portimão, Medieval Days in Castro Marim and the White Night in Loulé. Source: The Portugal News
