The Hotel Praia do Burgau is located in a quiet corner of the Algarve. The geography of the village, set above an idyllic sandy beach, where local fishermen still practice their age old following in traditional Algarvian boats, means that overdevelopment is not a possibility.

The hotel presently has 3 stars with 43 en-suite bedrooms, there also exists an approved project for an extension to convert the existing building into a luxurious hotel with 72 bedrooms, many with direct sea views, the configuration will give 31 presidential suites, 32 convertible en-suites and 9 doubles, a panoramic restaurant plus a spa, indoor and outdoor pools and an underground car park with 74 spaces. The project will meet all the requirements of the Portuguese Tourist Authorities taking the qualification from a 3 star to a luxury hotel and spa.
