A new Internet portal aimed at builders and developers was launched last week.
The site aims to reduce the bureaucracy involved in getting approval to build a villa or do home renovations, cutting the time for approval to 30 days.
People or companies who wish to use the internet portal must go first to the local town hall and deliver there the documents signed by the engineer responsible for the project which, according to a new law that came into effect earlier this year, in many cases can now serve as a replacement for the town council licence, which was previously mandatory.
